Intertex Named To the 2007 “PULVER 100”
Intertex’ Unique Triple Play Routers, Firewalls and ADSL Modems with Full SIP Capability on the Multimedia LAN Helps to Secure Ranking on Pulver 100

DENNIS, MA - March 12, 2007 – Intertex Data AB today announced that it has been named to the 2007 “Pulver 100” – which is the IP Communications industry’s premier listing of privately-held growth companies that represent the future of the IP-voice and video communications ecosystem. Intertex has been named to the list due to its unique solution for allowing SIP traffic to pass firewalls and NAT routers.

Intertex has become renown in the international VoIP world for including full support of the SIP standard in its firewalls and ADSL-modems, a capability still missing in most competitors’ products. SIP is the protocol for communicating over the Internet using voice, video, presence and instant messaging. IP-telephony, or VoIP, is just one example of a SIP based service. This technology is also included in Intertex triple play DSL modems, allowing all services, including IPTV on a single multimedia LAN with full QoS.

“The Pulver 100 is the IP Communications industry’s first and foremost award listing, and it continues to grow in significance, because companies like Intertex, continue to enable IP communications via their SIP capable firewalls and triple play ADSL modems,” said Jeff Pulver, Founder and Chairman of pulvermedia. “We’re proud to name Intertex to this year’s Pulver 100.”

“It is a pleasure and an honor being on this list together with so many leading Companies within the SIP and VoIP world.”, says Karl Erik Stahl and continues “It is good and important that attention now is brought to the fact that standardized SIP communication must be handled by firewalls, routers and especially triple play CPEs for creating a multimedia LAN. It is a ticking bomb that products incapable of relaying SIP communication to the LAN are still being sold and installed.

Intertex latest product release is the SurfinBird IX68, a new generation of triple play ADSL-modems with built-in router and full SIP support and IPTV on the LAN. The IX68 products support ADSL2+ and Annex M, which triple the speed in both directions compared to traditional ADSL. This product series also includes models with wireless access point and ports for using traditional phones for IP-telephony.

Meet Intertex at the 2007 CeBIT show in Hannover this week (15-21 March 2007). In the Intertex booth (IP Central @ CeBIT: Hall 13, Stand D34 Booth A4) Intertex will show the next generation ADSL modems with built-in firewall/router with full support for IPTV and SIP. Intertex will also be exhibiting at the VON Europe Spring in Stockholm, June 11-14 2007 (Booth 224).
