Microsoft Messenger and Windows Service Pack 2
When upgrading your Microsoft Windows XP System with Service Pack 2 (SP2) a Windows Messenger client without support for SIP is installed by default. You can easily get your SIP functionality back by installing Windows Messenger and run a registry fix.

Instructions:
  1. Download and install Windows Messenger
  2. Download the Messenger fix to your hard drive.
  3. Unpack the downloaded file (using e.g. ZIP Reader) and double click on the Messenger5.reg file.
